Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick Collection Swatches and Review

(0,1oz./4g) Gosh cosmetics is my top favorite drug store brand. Their lipsticks and mascaras are amazing. Today I'm going to review all the lipstick shades that I have from them. I have 8 and the other colors from the collection didn't look wearable to me, they are either too light or too metallic. They also have a couple of red shades which some people might be looking for. They all have a vanilla scent just like Mac lipsticks. Their formula and lasting power is very similar to MAC Amplified lipsticks.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in 315 Rich Plum Review and Swatches

       315 Rich Plum has a glossy and opaque finish like almost all the Color Sensational lipsticks. It's a reddish plum color but definitely more red than plum. You can say a plum hued red.

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipsticks in 130 Oxford St. Fuchsia & 330 Sloane's Plum Review and Swatches

(0,14oz./4g - 6,99USD) Rimmel London re-released their Moisture Renew lipsticks with a new packaging and a new formula.
       130 Oxford St. Fuchsia is a bubble gum pink, has a creamy finish. The formula is thicker but smooth enough to glide on.      
       330 Sloane's Plum is deep berry color which leans on the purple side. The older version is frosty and has a metallic greenish sheen. As you can see above I have the same lipstick, 330 Slone's Plum in both old and new packaging. You can see the color is slightly different too, new version is darker and glossier. I've only tried this lipstick in new formula, so far I am liking the previous one better. (only the formula, not the color) Because the new formula is lighter and more buttery which sounds good but it makes the lasting power so weak.

       Watson's a gittiğimde göz atmadan geçemediğim bir marka Rimmel London. Yanlışlıkla 2 tane aynı rujdan almışım ama bu sayede eski ve yeni formülü değerlendirme şansım oldu.
       Önce 130 Oxford St. Fuchsia ile başlayalım, bir kaç yıl önce herhalde çocuksu bir ruh halimde almışım bu rengi, tam bir şeker pembesi. Bu rengin yapısını diğer ikisine göre çok daha güzel buldum. Daha yoğun renk veriyor ve dudakta daha kalıcı.
       330 Sloane's Plum eski versiyonu formül olarak çok daha iyi ama yeni versiyonu renk olarak daha güzel. Yeni versiyon çok yumuşak, ıslak gibi kayıyor dudaklarınızda ama bence böyle koyu bir renkte olmazsa olmaz bir özellik rujun ne kadar kalıcı olduğu. Yani bu ruj formülüyle yemek yemek çok zor ama bir MAC rujla çok daha rahat yemek yiyebilirsiniz.

Bourjois Color Edition 24H Cream to Powder Texture Eye Shadow in Prune Nocturne Review and Swatches

Generally I like Bourjois Paris products, they are high quality for a drugstore brand. Usually cream eye shadows are very difficult to work with. They either crease or smudge or you can't get an even layer if they are gel like. The worst that you can expect from a shadow.

So count them all and think just the opposite. Yes! This particular cream to powder eye shadow works like magic. It does what it says, you can feel the powdery creamy texture when you touch it. Texture wise they are quite similar to Chanel Illusion D'ombre, but Chanel is a bit bouncier and gets drier and drier over time. I had this Bourjois one for quite sometime and no shrinking yet.

Last but not least, Prune Nocturne is a plum with reddish sheen. It has a buildable color payoff.

Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Eyeshadow Quad in 6 Terra Sienna Review and Swatches

(0,212oz./6g - 60USD) Did you realize that sometimes in a same palette, shimmery colors are very smooth where matte colors are hard to blend and not smooth at all. Well, in this palette you'll find that every single shade has an amazing formula and texture that is buttery, easily blendable and pigmented at the same time. I am very pleased with my purchase. And even though the darkest shade is a matte it doesn't have any fall out.

Giorgio Armani eye shadow palette has a decent packaging. The material feels identical to Chanel products so it won't have scratches all over. But the rounded shape of the case makes it hard to use the mirror.

First shade on the top is a pink champagne, has pearlescent finish.
Second shade is a more metallic pewter one.
Third shade is a soft reddish matte brown, a dupe of Corduroy by Mac.
The last shade is a deep eggplant, matte.

These peep toes look amazing but sadly to say they are a pain on the feet, they are so heavy because of the studs and not comfortable at all. I see some Christian Louboutin Pigalle pumps have their studs made out of lighter materials such as plastic, I would rather go with that. But what makes this heels unique is their duo chrome base. 

Rimmel London 60 Seconds Nail Polish in 810 Blue My Mind Review and Swatches

Rimmel London makes great nail polishes, they have 3 different formulas but to me they are all the same. This one is supposed to dry in 60 seconds but every nail polish dries in that time if you apply one coat, and this doesn't dry any faster than others. The color opacity is not quite strong with this one so you definitely need 2 coats. Blue my mind is a violet blue with a cream finish.

Nars Eyeshadow Duo in Brousse Review and Swatches

(4g/0.14oz. - 34USD) A nice variety of smokey eyes can be achieved by these two gorgeous shades. The first shade is a bronzed taupe the second one is a smoky purple. Both shades aren't crazily pigmented, I wouldn't say they are sheer either. But they just give a nice amount of color which makes is super easy to work with and as you pile more on you get a nice saturated color without the tiniest bit of fall out.

MAC Satin Lipstick in Rebel Review and Swatches

(0.10oz./2.8g - 14,50USD) Darker lipsticks can be tricky sometimes, they can make you look older especially if they have too much brown in it, or they can make you look too vampy. So you have to experience with different shades to find your perfect dark lips, and when I mean dark, I mean really dark. Every single dark lipstick that I've tried stains, that's something I hate and can not avoid.
When I was in the hunt for a dark lipstick I found Rebel and it's been an instant favorite since. The shade is very flattering for my complexion, it's a plum which has enough red in it to give a warmth to your face and plum and dark enough to make a statement.
As much as I love the shade of Rebel I hate that it dries out my lips and emphasizes the chapped skin on it. Also it's hard to get an even coverage, it looks patchy in certain areas.
Satin is a formula between amplified and matte. It's quite matte but not as matte as matte finishes and it's opaque but not as intensely opaque as amplified finishes. Unfortunately it's as drying as matte's.

Chanel Illusion D'ombre Cream Eyeshadow in 83 Illusoire Review and Swatches

(4g/0,14oz. - 36USD) Illusion D'ombre has 6 beautiful shimmery shades, they are sort of new. I believe they came out in Fall 2011. I swatched them all at the store, they were all beautiful, sparkly and they all had buildable color. So you have the chance to just use them for a wash of color on your lids or you can be more edgy and build them up. But beware they are intensely shimmery. They are in a glass jar as you can see from the pictures above and come with a little synthetic brush.
#83 Illusoire is a taupe but it has more purple than your regular taupe. It doesn't look frosty if you just use a little, it looks kind of wet because of the shimmer but the more you build it up the frostier it gets. Sadly if I don't use my Urban Decay Primer Potion it creases even in half an hour, you might not have the same problem if you don't have oily lids like me.

MAC Technakohl Liner in Purple Dash Review and Swatches

(0,35g/0,012oz. - 15USD) Urban Decay 24/7 are hands down my favorite eyeliners and everytime I try another brand I promise myself to be loyal to my UDs but my greediness wants to try out new things more often than my loyalty. I have tried every different type of MAC eye pencils and liners, only the Fluidline and Pearlglides work for me, other than these two, Mac is really bad at making a good eyeliner. For example this one is long lasting, smudge proof but it's not soft at all so you have to struggle to get an intense color, you have to pull your eyelids and stuff, I can't deal with that when I have my good old gel liners or UD 24/7s.
Talking about the shade, I'm a sucker for plums but I hate this formula as much as I love the shade, it's a plum with red/burgundy pearls.

Make Up Forever Aqua Eyes Eyeliner Pencil in 0L, 4L, 18L Review and Swatches

MUFE Aqua Eyes has great selection of shades, their only competition is Urban Decay 24/7 glide on pencils but they are a bit different. In the pictures there is two one swipe of the shade and heavily applied thicker swatch.
I think if your looking for a water proof eyeliner, this is it! But if your looking for an eyeliner, UD 24/7's should be your choice. Because it's softer, creamier, more pigmented.
0L Mat Black: Mat flat black, not as smooth as Urban Decay Zero but as pigmented if you keep applying it over and over.
4L: Purple plum with reddish purple sheen.
18L: Mat plummy red with tiny silver sparkles.

Maybelline Expert Eyes Eyeshadow Quad in Plum Smokes Review and Swatches

Maybelline has great select of inexpensive eyeshadows, but not all of them has the same quality even if they are in the same compact. For instance the lightest shimmery champagne color is very smooth, definitely more pigmented than the others. Two plum shades are the least pigmented ones, not only that but they are also very hard in consistency. The brown is supposed to be an eyeliner, I have to say it's no where near an eyeliner, not even pigmented enough to be an eyeshadow. Still it's more pigmented than the two plum shade.
All the colors look pretty shimmery but only the lightest shade's shimmer will show when applied. I find that the best thing about "not pigmented" eyeshadows are, they won't have any fall out at all, so I like it that's why I use and recommend it.

Rimmel Polish 60 Seconds Nail Polish in 610 Pompous Review and Swatches

This nail polish has silver specks with a blackened purple base. Very cool toned shade of dark purple. It has this flat brush just like the professional ones do. I don't really notice if it did dry in 60 seconds, I don't really have any problem with any Rimmel London nail polish about drying anyways.

Rimmel London Professional Finish Nail Polish in 312 Ultra Violet Review and Swatches

Professional Finishes have a weird flat brush which actually works well when you learn to work with it. Other than that they claim to have anti-fade color system which is true, you see some polishes fade or change color but this one doesn't seem to have that problem. The shade is a muted violet purple with a creamy finish.

My new favorite nail polishes are Rimmel London ones, I really love this brand, you should check them out. This cute polish has a dusty pale lilac color with a creamy finish.

Rimmel London Glam Eyes Quad Eye Shadow in 023 Beauty Spell

(4,2g/0,148oz. - 5,99USD) Again, a very pretty quad from the famous English brand. The shades on this quad are more on the shimmery side, except the plum shade which is rather matte. They blend really well and apply smoothly.

Plum Eyeliner Swatches and Comparisons

Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Eggplant (3g/0,106 oz. - 9,99USD) : This shade is almost identical with Mac Macroviolet, the only difference is this one has more sheen to it and Mac is a little bit rich in color. But texture wise they are very different, Maybelline has a lot more drier formula.

Mac Fluidline in Macroviolet (3g/0,10 oz. - 15USD) : Mac fluidlines hands down are one of the best gel liners in the market. They have a very creamy texture, they will not dry very quickly. Macroviolet is a blackened violet with a subtle sheen.

Mac Fluidline in Dark Diversion (3g/0,10 oz. - 15USD) : Dark Diversion is a very rich burgundy with a lot of brown hue to it. It almost has no sheen. Is a very flattering alternative to your regular black liner.

Lancome Ink Artliner in Plum Tease (4g/0,14 oz. - 23,50USD) : This was part of Lancome's collection that came out in 2009, I'm just adding it because some of you may have this shade already. So this gel liner is a bit different in texture, it's hard to explain but almost has this mousse like texture maybe silicone based? I don't know. I like it though. Anyways this is a very pretty red-plum shade with a cream finish.

MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Bordeauxline Review and Swatches

Powerpoint eye pencils from MAC are a total failure for me, because the ones I've tried are SO hard to apply that you have to scratch your eyelid to get an even coat. The color though, is very pretty, a matte reddish plum.

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Quite Cute Review and Swatches

(3g/0,1oz.) This is a new shade which came out with the Quite Cute collection, it looks so unusual in the tube but on the lips, not so much if you sheer it out just like what I did on the second picture. It makes your lips lighter and cooler toned and a little lavender-ish.
